Mushroom Swiss Burgers
This burger has all the flavor with or without the bun! We have our share of go to burger recipes but this hits the spot for a 30 minute meal.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- montreal steak seasoning
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 16 oz mushrooms
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 tsp butter
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- Splash of white wine
Instructions
- Shape four burgers from the ground beef
- Season burgers with Montreal seasoning, let rest while you slice the cheese and mushrooms
- Cook burgers in a cast iron pan to desired doneness
- While burgers are cooking, cook bacon in the microwave
- When burgers are done, top with bacon and cheese
- Remove Burgers from the pan, cover with a foil tent, being careful to not touch the cheese and let rest while you cook the mushrooms
- Add butter to the pan that you cooked the burger in, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute at med-low add the mushrooms and saute until soft
- Add wine and deglaze the pan
- Top the burgers with the mushrooms and enjoy!
Notes
You really can make this burger to taste, or with what you have on hand. A quick avocado aioli instead of mushrooms with pepper jack is delicious. We serve it up with a mound of broccoli, it is a filling and delicious burger option.
