Enchilada Sauce
This recipe is so much better than any sauce you can buy in the store. It takes a couple of minutes of hands on time and 15 minutes to simmer. So good!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 2 Tbs flour
- 3 Tbs chili powder I buy it in bulk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 cup chicken stock
Instructions
- Add the oil and flour to a pan and bring to a boil on medium heat
- Add the spices to the pan and cook for about 2 minutes while whisking
- Pour in the broth all at once while whisking continuously
- Add the apple cider vinegar, reduce to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Use as you would a canned sauce for enchiladas. Makes approximately 2 cups.

This recipe freezes well.
