Easy Italian Bread Sticks

This is a fast easy bread that I make with pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp yeast
  • 2 tbsp  melted butter
  • 2 tbsp  grated parmesan

Instructions

  • Place warm water, melted butter and sugar in a large bowl, mix and sprinkle yeast over the top. Let the yeast bloom (get foamy) 5-10 minutes.
  • Add 1.5 Cups of flour, salt and seasonings, mix well add remaining flour.
  • Pour onto floured cabinet and knead for 5-8 minutes adding more flour if to sticky.
  • Put back in bowl and let rise until doubled.
  • Punch down and divide the dough into 12 balls, form into 6 inch ropes, place on greased baking sheet and let rise for 20 minutes.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes
  • Add melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and parmesan to a bowl, mix well.
  • Remove bread sticks from the oven, brush with butter and parmesan mixture
