Mixed Berry Galette
We love this rustic berry pie! It's so easy and so good.
Ingredients
- 1 single pie crust
- 4 cup mixed berries
- 4 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp arrowroot powder corn starch will work
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- heavy cream enough to brush the top of the pastry
- 2 tsp turbinado sugar
Instructions
- Make the pie crust
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- On a lightly floured parchment paper roll the pie crust out into a 15 inch circle
- Mix the berries, sugar, arrowroot, cinnamon and lemon juice
- Pour the berry filling into the center of the crust leaving a 2 inch border
- Gently fold the edges up over the filling, overlapping the dough as you go
- Brush with heavy cream and sprinkle with turbinado sugar
- Bake until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly 25-30 minutes
- Allow to cool before serving
