Mixed Berry Galette

We love this rustic berry pie! It's so easy and so good.

Ingredients

  • 1 single pie crust
  • 4 cup mixed berries
  • 4 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp arrowroot powder corn starch will work
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • heavy cream enough to brush the top of the pastry
  • 2 tsp turbinado sugar

Instructions

  • Make the pie crust
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  • On a lightly floured parchment paper roll the pie crust out into a 15 inch circle
  • Mix the berries, sugar, arrowroot, cinnamon and lemon juice
  • Pour the berry filling into the center of the crust leaving a 2 inch border
  • Gently fold the edges up over the filling, overlapping the dough as you go
  • Brush with heavy cream and sprinkle with turbinado sugar
  • Bake until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly 25-30 minutes
  • Allow to cool before serving
