
Apple Dump Cake
This apple dump cake is a nostalgic twist on a retro dessert. This version substitutes the cake mix for a simple homemade spice cake and utilizes apple pie filling to create a warm, fall-inspired dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 4 cups apple pie filling
Instructions
- Butter an 8×8 pan and pre-heat oven to 350℉
- Add all of the dry ingredients to a bowl and whisk well.
- Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared pan.
- Pour the flour mixture evenly over the apple pie filling.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the flour mixture.
- Bake 35-40 minutes.
- Allow to cool, serve warm with ice cream.
