Apple Dump Cake
This apple dump cake is a nostalgic twist on a retro dessert. This version substitutes the cake mix for a simple homemade spice cake and utilizes apple pie filling to create a warm, fall-inspired dessert.
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 4 cups apple pie filling
Butter an 8x8 pan and pre-heat oven to 350℉
Add all of the dry ingredients to a bowl and whisk well.
Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared pan.
Pour the flour mixture evenly over the apple pie filling.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the flour mixture.
Bake 35-40 minutes.
Allow to cool, serve warm with ice cream.
