Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting

This is a rich creamy chocolate frosting with a hint of espresso

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 oz milk
  • 1 oz espresso or robust coffee

Instructions

  • Cream together butter and cocoa powder
  • Add espresso to milk
  • Add 1 cup of sugar to butter mixture and combine well, add 1 Tbsp of milk mixture and combine well. Continue with remaining sugar and milk until all of the sugar and milk have been combined.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well
  • Add more milk or sugar if need for ideal consistency

Notes

Will frost a double layer cake.
