Prepare and roll out pastry for single crust pie. Line a 9-inch pie plate with the pastry.Trim and crimp edge. Line the pie crust with a double thickness of foil and bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 4-5 minutes, or until pastry is set. Remove from oven and reduce heat to 325 degrees.
In a large skillet cook onion and bacon until onion is soft and bacon is crisp. Drain onion mixture on paper towels.
Add eggs, sour cream and half & half to a large bowl and mix well. Mix in the salt, pepper, nutmeg, onion mixture, broccoli and cheddar. Pour into prepared pie crust and bake for 55 minutes or until set.
Let rest 10 minutes, serve and enjoy.
